My name is Jess and I’m the Queen of saving money! I love finding ways to save money in my life everyday, when we’re taking big tricks, and lately we planned a wedding where we saved a whole bunch of money. I want to help those around me live their best life even if they don’t have a whole lot of money.

When I started this blog, I was a college student with a love for adventure. I had just started dating my boyfriend (now husband) and discovered how exciting and free travel made me feel. I was used to living a careful life taking only very carefully calculated, “safe” risks. My boyfriend was very much the opposite. He loved experiencing new things, taking risks, and encouraging me to do the same. Before I knew it, we were planning the trip of a lifetime, 28 days in Europe seeing 13 countries.

Now I don’t know if you remember this, but money is tight on a student budget. Like we had a list of all of the places that gave out free or extremely cheap food for every day of the week hanging up in our apartment so we could still have a hearty meal. While others were partying and spending their money on clothes, fun, and whatever else college kids spend money on, we were saving up for our dream trip. We refused to let the cost of the trip stop us from living our dream.

We have been to Europe, to 42 states in the US, Canada, Mexico, and we have many new places planned for the upcoming years.¬†This is no easy feat when you don’t have a lot of money, but with some dedication and creativity, you too can travel while maintaining your budget!¬†Though traveling is one of our favorite things to do, we have also done a lot of living on that tight budget too! Over the last 6 years we have lived in 3 different states, 5 different apartments, and 1 house. We have jumped out of airplanes, flown airplanes, stayed in cabins with scenic mountain views, went scuba diving, had a dream honeymoon, and more at super affordable prices.

I hope that by sharing my experiences and advice that I can enable more people to explore the world, have their dream wedding, or do fun things without breaking the bank. Taking the first step to plan a big trip or your next step in life is sometimes hard, but with my stories and advice, I hope that I will make it easy for people to say yes when given the chance! I will share my secrets to staying on budget while traveling, what to see, and what to bring along. I am always open to new ideas and products that will help make traveling easier. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas feel free to contact me.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my travels and our life. I sincerely hope my blog inspires you to chase your dreams, even if you’re on a tight budget. YOU DESERVE IT!
